Calvary Cemetery is one of the oldest and most historic cemeteries in Northeast Ohio. Since its opening in 1893, more than 314,000 individuals have been laid to rest on its sacred grounds. As the largest cemetery in the Diocese of Cleveland, it spans 300 total acres and features 13 miles of tree-lined roadway. With a landscape rich in legacy and spiritual meaning, Calvary continues to serve thousands of families each year and stands as a symbol of faith, memory, and tradition.

Calvary offers a choice of burial options, including traditional in-ground burials and above-ground interment options. Our experienced Family Service Representatives will assist you with selecting and personalizing your memorial. We offer a wide variety of colors and religious designs to choose from.

…Calvary Cemetery was developed to become the new centrally located cemetery in Cleveland?

Leland Farm, located just six miles south of Cleveland Public Square, was purchased in 1893 for the development of Calvary Cemetery because it had long become evident that St. John and St. Joseph Cemeteries on Woodland Ave. were becoming too small for the 90,000 members of the city parishes.

The theater opened in 1915 and closed in the 1950’s. The building was destroyed by fire in 2007 and later demolished.
